I like the headlight. What tires are those. Look like my duros. I am not sure how much more than 50mph a 125 will pull, but the first thing may be to put a smaller rear sprocket on. Allen

Welcome...a few of you UK riders the past few weeks have joined us.
As far as getting speed, I'm with Katoranger; larger front sprocket and smaller rear sprocket to start with.

You are talking about indexing the spark plug I believe.
Using a higher output coil will allow you to run a larger plug gap giving a more efficient burn of the gas/air mixture thus giving more power. Most effective method for more speed is to start with your gearing. Allen

Sprockets sprockets sprockets...But in the end it is still just a 125..Dont expect much more than You are getting now without losing all low end.

Perhaps James can set us straight, but seeing the 'L' on his bike signifies he is a learner, or beginner. In England, one has to have this 'L' for a set period of time while one is a new rider or driver. The best bet would be to get a 200cc or 250cc bike in several months, or whenever the learning period is over. However, I could have sworn a few weeks or month ago,there was a member from England who had a 125 and was running decent top speed on it, comparable to a 200's top speed.
