I have bought most of my gear off ebay.
Get a good jacket. I bought one that is waterproof and has a removable liner. It also has armor plating. Teknic brand. Allen

You could look for one of the mesh jackets. The idea behind the jacket is so that you keep your skin intact after sliding across the pavement.
Gloves too. I also keep rain gear handy too. Allen

I just got a Tex II Mesh Jacket. It is awesome, the wind goes right thru it...
I would think any MESH Jacket would be fine...Try Ebay I got mine for $27 NEW NOTE: Make sure the Jacket has Dual Denisty ARMOR and not PERFORATED EVA ARMOR My TEX II Jacket had the Perforated Armor So it is basically a thin Rubber perforated Pad....It Doesn't feel to safe. Luckly My Dual Denisty armor for My leather Winter motorcycle Jacket Fits.. Try EBAY or these. http://www.jackets4bikes.com/Store/C...=2&catid=12508 http://www.leatherup.com/c/Fabric-mo...ice/2/104.html http://www.jafrum.com/Motorcycle-Gea...ERPRICE&range=

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/
http://www.newenough.com/ http://www.ridegear.com/ http://www.motogearoutlet.com/salerack.htm For a jacket go with a name brand. It's worth the little extra you'll spend. Cheaper than skin grafts too! New enough has a leather jacket made by Icon for $99, that and a light rain jacket to wear over the top and you'd be good to go for way less than $200. EDIT: Oops! the Icon jackets are all gone, but they do have a leather Moto GP jacket (it even comes in yellow!) for $114. Click me. |

The mesh jackets are very cheap but for good reason; they do not offer the fall protection a leather will or the same element resistance. I would go with leather for sure, better the cows skin then your own! (unless your a cow lover)
