Stock battery will not hold charge.

So decided to build a LIFEPO4 pack to replace it.

Bought 8 of these, a Battery Management System(BMS) off of ebay, little wiring and i have a 16AH battery pack.

It would not fit in stock location so i relocated it to the truck i just installed.

Everything came in under $60.

This thing sure spins the heck out of the starter.

I was curious as to the specifications on the BMS you used? I have been considering using cells like these, or similar, to build a flat battery pack to hide under the seat in a custom box.

Sorry for the late responce Dan. Weather here has been cold and wet for over a month so the bike has been just sitting in the shop.

Ebay Link

This is the BMS i used. It is over sized for what we would need but was cheap and I can use it for other applications if needed.
Really the batteries are sever overkill of what we need also but they were cheap too so what the heck!

But, I don't think these batteries will fit under the seat. Too big. check the size. Custom box may work.

BTW, i started the bike for the first time in about 4 weeks the other morning. It was about 45. Damn battery works! Nice after fighting with the stock battery and the loose connection on the Regulator.
