Templar X headlight installation

When I attempt to install headlight on my new Templar X, it hits the instrument cluster before the upper mounting holes line up, by 15mm, anyone else have this problem?
Anyone have a workaround, or a different "better" headlight recommendation?

Have you tried bending the cluster mount up slightly? I did that with mine.

I end up trimming the height of the number plate, as it was the top edge of the plate contacting the instrument cluster that prevented mounting holes from lining up. I'm interested in that KTM lamp housing that you fitted to yours?

Are we talking the stock headlight assembly and/or the bulb? I had no issues with the initial assembly of them. Nor when I replaced the original bulb with another one that actually provided enough light to see something. Mine is 2023 X.

As I recall, it was really tight on my 2022 and a half 6 speed Templar X.
I used a couple of chrome plates with holes ~1inch apart to make space.
That worked.

I'm currently using an ebay headlight housing that fit a little cleaner than the KTM shroud.

Do you have a link for that?

I never have figured out people's issue with the headlight housings. The stock bulb is an abomination. Once I replaced it with a better one my headlight seems to work better than half my other bikes.

My issue (Templar X) is that it doesn't clear my instrument cluster user the existing mounting points, but I guess it hasn't been an issue for most

Gotcha. Wish we were near so I could bring mine over and could try and figure out what was different. Got me curious. I have a feeling pictures aren't quite going to do it. That area is pretty crowded. Plus I added some driving lights on mine and that wiring is in there on mine.

Unfortunately I do not as I didn't purchase it, it was a leftover part from a "dirtster" build a buddy did last year turning an older Harley sportster into a dirtbike. I'll check ebay and see if I can find a link to the same one.

I used this one, had to modify it a bit to fit the headlight I purchased and a bit more to fit thr Templar but it came out decent.

Thanks for that!
You used the headlight in Templar resource thread, right?
