Valve adjustment set screws question.

I figured I would check my valves today for the first time since doing my engine work, and I did have to adjust them. I have always noticed that the bottom of the set screws seem to be kinda beveled, and that when I adjust them, the angle of the bottom of the set screws makes them almost sharp looking. Everyone of these Chinese CG bikes I have had does this, and I always just set them to spec, regardless .. Do the set screws need replaced , or filed on after a while? Do any of you " clock" the set screws to contact the valve stem flatter, even if it means running a little wide on lash? Or is it just best to set them, and don't worry about the angle of the bottom of the set screws? Thanks
