Too much snow!!!

Hello from cold, wintery Vermont. The snowmobiling is decent but 25 below zero and ice covered roads are making it tough to get miles on the Roketa!!!!! Spring, where are you????? Here's the sleds and my fiance. Ain't she cute, the girl I mean

You got a bike for her to ride too I hope? Man that's great she'll get out there and go after it with the rest of the guys. Is that just how women folk are in Vermont, or did you have to do one of those Russian mail order things?

Well, kinda. She is from Louisiana, born on the Bayou. Haven't got a bike for her yet :( . She's never driven a motorcycle before, but she hadn't driven a snowmobile before she met me either, so there's hope!!! Ride on! BTW, the red sled is my Yammi RX1, with the 1000cc four stroke R1 crotch rocket motor. Grab a handful of that and it about pulls your arms off! 125 MPH on snow and ice is CRAZY MAN, CRAZY 8O .

How tall is she? I've been trying to figure out a way to have my girlfriend join me riding, but the 200's kinda tall for her. She's about 5'1" and can barely get her tippy toes on the the ground with mine. I have considered modifing the mounting points for the rear shock and giving her mine. THEN I would have a reason to go ahead and get the XR650R

Anyway, the R1 engine in a snowmobile. THAT's CRAZY!! Never been on one but we have our fair share of really fast jet skeeezz round here.

She's 5'10", looooonnnggggg legs. She'd be fine on one of these bikes, but yeah at 5'1", that ain't gonna work. I think some of the bikes are lower, but she's gonna need like a 26 - 28 in seat height. Gotta be something out there for her, keep looking man!!!

Short Chicks

Fatboy250 - I feel your girlfriends pain. I too am vertically challenged, I'm also 5'1". I just bought a Lifan 200gy-2 and the dealer is lowering it for me. I will still be on the balls of my feet but I'm ok with that. Years ago I had a Ninja 250 and had to lower that too. Lowering seems to be the only option for us short chicks.

Red2003 - Where are you in VT? My husband and I have a house near St. Johnsbury VT and plan to be there with our new bikes this summer. My hubby is getting a Lifan 200gy-5.

I'm in Wolcott. 35 miles west of you. Very cool! Look me up when warm weather gets here and we'll all go for a ride! I have not yet convinced the misses to try one, but I still got a few months to nag . Better yet, buy 2 snowmobiles and come up and ride NOW!!!!!

i am trying to get my g/f to ride, but i dunno if shes headstrong enough to ride a bike with the way people drive around here, and i dont really want to put her in harms way. I guess we will see what happens come summer.

Same here. I've even considered making a trike out of a 4 wheeler so the likelyhood of her falling on her own is minimized, but that won't keep her from harms way with the cars.

Still undecided,
Jason

Got about 150 miles on the sleds this weekend . Snowing like crazy right now. Temps in the single digits all week and a foot of snow coming Wednesday. I think I'll wheel the Roketa in the shop and fire it up just to hear it run. My pod filter should be here in a day or two. If I can't ride it, at least I can mod it in the meantime!! The good news is, by the time Spring gets here the bike will have been gone through 25 times. Every bolt has about a pint of locktite on it by now, the battery has been charged up about 5 times, the oil's been changed twice, and it hasn't even got 100 miles on it yet 8O . Serves me right for living in Vermont! Ride on China Riders!!!!! P.S., my snowmobiles are BOTH from Japan (Yamaha), does that count for anything???

Hey guys,
Girlfriend is 5'1" can't fit on my china bike but is the perfect size for me to ride LOL, little outta line, sorry Frost... She want's a scooter, one of the, ya know "Cooler looking ones" problem is they cost more than my GY and from my research they don't make a smaller bike that can accomidate a shorter person, I don't think I could lower the suspension low enough for her to ride one... Anyone got any good leads on scooter sales that "Look cool" and won't cost me an arm and a leg???
