drive pins for rear sprocket

I now have almost 9000 kilos on my GY. Still runs perfect. Just one small issue, I need a replacement for one of the drive pins that sheared off. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know.

Heres a post I put up the other day. It will alow you to identify your drive pin as the Honda counter part. Any of the late modle CB250's will show the same rear sprocket assembly. If you want the Chinese part, Im not sure who would be a reliable vendor.

The Honda CB250 nighthawk was the origin of a few parts on the GY5 such as the rear sprocket design and if you look at the schematics in this page, you will see the rear swingarm & axle adjusters "look" identical to the GY. The axle Might be the same. the nut is on the rear wheel schem.

go to honda shop give them this number

90128-382-670 - BOLT,SPRKT,FIXING

I belive it is for a honda xl185. they are compatable.

I got some from my local dealer, but you might have to order them. I got all he had, 'cause that's all he had! hehe. I paid like $4.75 EACH, and I got 6, so now I have spares.

I found some on American E-bay, 2 sets were $16 posted to the UK. I believe the original Chinese ones will shear after about 10000km. Mine gave up one night on my way to work. I assume that the 2 dirty ones have been broken for some time.

Are there rubber bushings in the hub? Maybe a harder material like eurethane would prevent the pins from contacting the metal of the hub and breaking off.

The pins sit in bushes, there's no metal to metal contact.

purchased and installed the replacements. 16.50 was all it cost and a few minutes of work on my part.

thanks for the help ... almost 11000 kms and going strong.

the bike honestly exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for a year. hell, its been almost that long and the thing is still running strong.

Lifan really are damn good bikes.

at least...mine is.

thanks guys for all the help in the past and stuff. i have no internet so I cannot participate as much as before but this site remains invaluable to me.
