When I am around a group of choppers from the old school -- ape-hangers and all, and I beep the horn on my GY-3 and give them a raised fist salute, I get some really wierd looks . . .

I have never had anything but good things said about my bike. About the best thing i've heard and agree with, Any running bike is better than one that isn't.
None of us got these bike's for status

When I had my little 150cc a guy on the biggest harley I've ever seen pulled up beside me. I was embarrased. But he said, "Listen brother, we both hit the pavement at the same speed."

I don't think he could have said anything that would have made me feel better. It sure was true. He spent more, that was the only difference.

I had a virago 250 "Route 66", an older "biker" pulled up next to me at the gas station and said, "Is that going to be a Harley when it grows up?". I said "I don't know, What did you feed yours?

I have to say that I get more questions and positive comments...in fact I have never gotten a negative comment. These bikes are great and they are by far the biggest bang for the buck.

I take a ribbing from the guys at work about the china bikes but they'll do that to me and well anyone about anything so it doesnt mean much. (its all good fun)

Out at the trails I've had people check them out and ask some questions but nothing really nasty ever.
One guy thought mine was a ktm or something but thats because it sounds fairly wicked with the pipe on it.

I have had an idiot yell out "get a harley" from the back of a pickup truck while we were riding our DR650 up at silver lake sand dunes years ago.
(I laughed and thought if harley ever made a "REAL" decent dual purpose bike I might buy one)

I still laugh at grown men riding scooters but I have to admit they are saving some serious gas money with them.
Even so I wouldnt give them a hard time over that, if they like it thats fine but scooters arnt my style.(ahh-to each his own  )

If it's got two wheels and a motor, I wave. If it's at the side of the road, I'll stop and help.

And this is why harley riders get a bad name... It's like they don't believe there is any other kind of motorcycle.
