Hey Gang

I just bought a 2008 Lifan LF200-GY5, in May. I have been coming here off and on for a second opinion in my buying stages and to see if anyone else has had a similar problem with there bikes. I am looking forward into discussing information on your forums.

I mostly use my bike as a work car since it gets such good gas mileage and I will occasionally I will take it off road one the local logging trails in the Black Hills. It is geared a little high for the steep hills and I am planning on changing the gears in the spring. Any advice?

Welcome, First time anyone has ever said these bikes are geared too high

Normally they come with a dinner plate of a rear sprocket.

I would either move the front sprocket down to a 15T or purchase a 50T rear. You don't want to gear too low unless you only ride off-road.

A front can be swapped out easily if you want to change back and forth.
