Great Deal on 4x8 Utility Trailer at Harbor Freight.

For anyone looking for a put it together yourself china trailer for their china bike heheheheh, Harbor Freight has a deal going thru I think the 4th or 5th of May on a 4x8 1450 lb gross tilting trailer, that also folds up for storage in the garage.

On the website it says 329.00 which is a good deal to start with, but in the store its on special for 279.00. Pretty much unbeatable. get a 16.00 4x8 sheet of 3/4" plywood and you're good to go.

Comes in two boxes, and I'll be posting pics soon as I get around to putting it together. I couldn't find a better trailer for anywhere near the price. The folding part is great as it has casters and you just fold it and push it up against the wall.

I've inspected the parts, has all locknuts etc. and the steel seems good and heavy and is powder coated.

12" wheels. There is a cheaper version out there with 8 " wheels but trust me, you don't want it.

Anyway, thought I'd give everyone a heads up. Oh, and if you still have the steel from the bike crate you can mount it on the trailer and work up a pretty nice rack for your bike with little effort

Sounds good brother, keep us posted. I'm looking for a decent bike trailer. How do you think it will do on rough gravel roads?

The bigger the wheels the better.

I have put together a couple of those trailers and they are great for light loads and occasional use.

I prefer a fully welded one, but you can't really keep it in the garage.

Trebek. I would look into a heavier built trailer if you plan to travel for miles on rough roads. These are good for paved roads with a couple bikes on them.

For the price it is a good unit.

I had one with the little wheels, a 4X4 IIRC when I used to race RZ 350s . I pulled it behind my Probe GT. It was an odd looking setup, but I did not have a truck. It worked fine. On gravel roads too. Somewhere in my 'archives' I have a picture...
