If the racing stator is the type that substitutes the heavy standard wrap-round rotor for a much smaller "inner" rotor type, it will improve the throttle response a lot as well as the initial acceleration. This is nothing to do with any power increase, but from lightening the flywheel. The improvement is out of proportion to the actual weight saved, it comes from the way the engine no longer has to accelerate a heavy mass.

For example in a 2-litre tuned car shaving off of 3.5 kg from the flywheel is equivalent to removing nearly 100kg from the overall weight of the car. This helps initial acceleration no end.

If you're set on a lighter, inner type of rotor, note that they're NOT advisable for engines with a crankshaft-mounted clutch. This is because on these engines the larger rotor balances the clutch on the other side. If you fit a lighter rotor the chances are that the crank will break.

The CDI and coil will improve things a bit, specially if the rev limit is removed. A lot of flywheel and stator kits come with these components as part of the package.

The one noticeable part you don't mention is a larger carb, although for the full effect the inlet port has to be opened up to match the new carb size. Lots of people ignore this and never realise the potential power increase from their larger carbs.[/b]
