EiKO 45/45 Watt Incandescent Headlamp Bulb Report
The headlight on my Zongshen Sierra 200GY-2 runs continuously as a safety feature. After riding the first 5,000 miles on my Zong, the low beam on my headlamp finally burned out. At that point I considered replacing the incandescent bulb with a halogen bulb, but I ride off-road a lot. Since the headlamp burns continuously, the bulb filament gets very hot, and the vibrations produced by trail riding hasten the failure of the filament. Halogen bulbs burn much hotter than incandescent bulbs, so they can fail even more quickly when used in a dirt bike or dual sport motorcycle. Therefore, I decided to replace my stock headlamp bulb with a 45/45 watt incandescent bulb. I bought a ten-pack of 45/45 watt EiKO 48058EK incandescent bulbs from Light Bulb Emporium for a delivered price of $21.99.

However, as a caveat, I will inform everyone that I also converted to an LED tail light assembly, turn signals, and indicator lights, which also reduced the drain on my electrical system. After riding another 6,000 miles, my EiKO 48058EK bulb finally failed; I replaced it several days ago. These BA20D bulbs are rated for a 100-hour lifetime. However, based upon the longevity of my last bulb, a ten-pack of these bulbs will probably serve me for 60,000 miles. Based upon my riding experience, I highly recommend the 45/45 watt BA20D headlamp bulbs from Light Bulb Emporium, EiKO model 48058EK. Spud
