Good Deal on C858 Dual Sport Tires

After I built the 21-inch front wheel for my Zongshen 200GY-2, I went shopping for a front tire. I found the Cheng Shin C858 tire, size 2.75-21, for sale at $22.99 at Motorcycle Superstore.

That looks like a decent tire at at a great price. The reviews on that site seemed to agree that it was better suited to street than dirt, but I didn't actually see a DOT reference. Did I miss it?

That's the model of tire that came stock on my 07 Lifan. IMO it's a good compromise between street and dirt. The front lasted 16,000 km and rear about 5000 km.

yes spud ,since you have them are they marked DOT on the side the inspection garages around here check that on all the knobbie type tires.

The C858 is sold within the dual sport tire area at the Motorcycle Superstore website. If you go to the â€œoff roadâ€ area of the website, chose â€œtiresâ€ from the menu, then choose â€œdual sport tires,â€ you will find the C858.

Yes, the C858 has the DOT marking on the tireâ€™s sidewall.
