Good Deal on Kenda K760 Tires

When performing my Yamaha XT225 swingarm conversion, I bought a used, XT225 rear wheel that came mounted with a Dunlop D752 tire. I rode this dirt tire for several thousand miles before the tread wore down. I was very surprised, and very pleased, at how well this very aggressive dirt tire behaved on the pavement! Therefore, when I needed to buy a new rear tire, I decided to experiment with a Kenda K760 tire.

The Kenda K760 is a DOT approved, dual sport tire. So far, I have ridden over 9,000 miles on two Kenda Trakmaster, K760 tires, and I highly recommend them!

For the first hundred miles or so, the K760 is a little skatey on the pavement. However, after scuffing it up a little, it rides surprisingly well on the street! These tires have done a very good job for me on pavement, gravel roads, powered soil, mud, loose rocks, and hard rocky trails. This tire also wears very well. The best price I have found for this tire is at Rocky Mountain ATV.

If you search the internet, you can always find a valid coupon code for Rocky Mountain ATV. Also, if your order exceeds $99, you will receive free shipping! Combining a ten percent discount with free shipping, you can purchase the K760 tire, in size 100/100x18, for $41.39, delivered.

Rocky Mountain ATV is located less than 250 road miles away from me, in Utah. Therefore, several times I have placed an order with Rocky Mountain ATV in the morning, and my package has arrived the next afternoon! Rocky Mountain ATV has excellent prices, fast shipping, and superb customer service. I highly recommend the Kenda K760 rear tires, and I highly recommend this vendor.

These are the tires I want on my lf200 and I was wondering how they'd hold up. Great to hear it. I was hoping to put 110/100's on the rear. Any experience with the larger rear? Also, any experience with the trackmasters front tire?

I had a 110 TrackMaster on my Lifanoid and it fit fine but I had to remove the chainguard mount. Dremel. :P

I also had the matching front tire.

I did not like them quite as much as Spud, but I think my expectations were a little high. Much of my riding is on sandy desert soil and they did not help as much as I'd hoped. The rest of my riding is on rocks/gravel. That's also what Spud rides on though, so YMMV. It did quite well on the street, but 95% of my riding on the Lifanoid was off road. I used it about 500 miles, and It was about 1/2 worn out. Again, YMMV.

I have the kenda k775 washougal front and the 760 100/100 track master rear. i have about 2000 miles on them and the rear has about 1/4 inch of tread left at the lowest point. they were great offroad compared to the stock cheng shen tires. Worked pretty good in sand for this low powered bike probly twice the traction of the stocker on sand. The front also worked out very well, it is great off road and has fairly low wear. I think this would probably be one of the best offroad combo while staying street legal, their easy to stud for ice too

I will probably be replacing it with the same thing or one that is not street leagal with taller knobs.

So far, I have ridden two of the K760 tires in size 100/100x18. However, for my next rear tire I am going to experiment with a K760 tire in size 110/100x18. The tread on my current Kenda K760 tire is getting low, so I bought a K760 tire in size 110/100x18 to replace it. I will use the remaining tread on my current K760 tire to ride on pavement over the winter. When the trails open up next spring, I will mount the new 110/100x18 tire.

I would like to experiment with the K760 front tire, but I decided to buy the Cheng Shin C858 front tire, instead. I got the C858 front tire for a great price.

I ride a lot of miles on pavement; therefore, I figured the C858 would do a better job for me on the front wheel than the Kenda K760.

Thank you for the good report on the K775 Washougal front tire! How well does this tire perform on pavement? Also, how many miles of wear do you think you can get from it?

Hi the k775 is a technically 95 off 5 on rated tire. but it has worked great for all the road time i have on it, it doesn't slip out on corners or anything, but i don't speed or really tilt it over. off road it is awesome, due to it being one of the widest 21 inch front tires it stays on top of sand ad doesn't bog down and get stuck easily. a friend told me that it is called a washougal because it is desighned for use in a race that is very soft and muddy. it is wearing pretty well it has about 2/3 of the tread at the most work point. It has a great pattern for studding if your in to winter riding.

let me know if you guys want a quick tutorial and some pics for studded tires

Thank you for the information, WA! If you get the time, please do post a quick tutorial for studding motorcycle tires! If you start a new thread you will get the most exposure to share this great information.

Its named after a racetrack in Southern Washington pretty close to here, but closer to the west (wet) side of the state. Sounds like what I need, I might think about it after I wear Q's tires out a bit...
