8, count them, 8 days delivered to my door (shipping cost $7.10)

This may be of some interest:

Cool site! I promptly bookmarked that weirdness. I haven't heard the name Dellorto for awhile, not since playing with VW's.

I presume the reed block is going on your Aero 80 project. There will be precious little restriction.

What is the benefit of a spigot mount carb over a flange mount?

Heat isolation.

The disadvantage is possible excessive vibration. I had an old Norton one time that I had great difficulty installing Lectron carbs on because the carbs vibrated at speed so much the mixture would not remain consistent.

So, if you installed a spigot mount, it would be wise to fabricate a solid mounting bracket. I'm guessing that you could pick up off of two carb bowl screws.

Regarding flange mount carbs, did you ever complete your Gio / Jawa project?

Usually the carb is well supported between the spigot and the air cleaner, you remove the factory air cleaner and hang K+N's, or the like, off the end, and you have to watch the condition of the spigot, that said, I haven't had any trouble, and I suspect new Lectron carbs have fuel baffles in the bowls, because they are promoting them for Harley's (though that means little).

The Jawa/Gio is done except for a small bit of wiring. My kitchen messed with EVERYTHING around here this summer.

Copy that. I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel, and it's not a freight train coming at me.
