Super leaky Baja Phoenix (Hensim) 250

Greetings to the fellow China Riders!

My dad bought himself a Baja Phoenix 250 a year and a half ago. We went to go start the engine one day, and it started to gush oil out from below. I am thinking that the bike has some sort of problem with either a gasket or the oil isolating board, but I cannot tell. Is there someone in the forum who had this problem before? I am not sure who made the engine, but it definitely looks like some kind of Rebel clone. Thanks again for your help, and hope to get the bike on the road soon!

Welcome to the forum!

Road/rock damage? Pics would help. I believe the bike is a Hensiem. There are a few owners here.

Take some pics for us. Most likely is a failed gasket or possibly a loose drain plug.

I don't get it, a guy comes on this forum and asks for help and never answers the questions that are asked to help solve his problem..

My guess is that his Dad got his bike fixed, so the lad has no intentions of coming back until another problem arises.

It's called follow up.
I think it would be polite for the OP to tell us the resolution to the problem.

I wish it were that simple.... :P

Crazy long days and nights at my work place did not help with replying to the forum. Also, I was thinking I would get notification if a thread I posted to was replied to.

When the engine is cold, the bike can be maneuvered around without any leaks. When started and allowed to idle, the leak will show after a few minutes. As the bike is taken from leaning on the kickstand to upright, the oil literally pours out from the lower section. I estimated a cup-full the last time we did this. I will try to get a picture of the lower section when I can, as the bike is 30 miles from where I am at.

Thanks again for y'all's input and take care!

Thanks for checking in. My guess is either the stator o-ring or the countershaft seal.

It could be a seal on the shift lever shaft
