My 2011 GIO X31 250

I figured I'd start a thread in the Dirt thread about my bike. I ordered it last week, received it in a few days and then started assembling it. I haven't taken too many pictures, but here's what I have so far.

Unloading from my truck:

Outer box removed:

Close up of packaged bike:

Bike partially assembled:

Check the rear gear bolts, make sure they are tight and bend both tabs down on the thin steel retainers, mine came loose quite quick till i noticed the factory bending of those tabs wasn't enough to keep the bolts from spinning out.

A video of the bike idling & a full walk around.

And thanks for the hint on the rear bolts.

None at all. I'm looking to just do trail riding.

Same here, I got mine to ride with my kids and their ATV's. However Im planning on changing the chain, fuel lines, fuel filter, air filter. Thats about it really, mostly things to improve the reliability of the bike.

Nice looking machine! Looks pretty much exactly like mine as well.

It's got a nice snarl on the exhaust when you open it up!

Here's a couple pics of the muffler:

Also, I'm used to riding a yamaha v-star 650. I quickly rode my bike down the road a bit here and was quite surprised at the lack of acceleration. It almost felt as if the clutch plates weren't engaged. I've adjusted both clutch levers. Any suggestions?

rear axle bolts

yes they do come loose... I installed some longer ones and I put nuts on the thread that sticks out... plus lock tight them... if they do come loose you can use the nuts to undo the broken bolts....
1 customer of mine put in 5/16 coarse threaded bolts & nuts... the threads do seem loosly made in the hubs... I think his won;t come loose again.. this is a problem on these gio bikes... I have to do this before I sell any of these to people.. and keep the tire pressure to 40 psi.... otherwise you will rip the valve stem off of the rear wheel... buy some spares...

I finally took the bike out for a ride today in an old logging area. I have to say I'm super impressed with the motor in this bike. It pulls very hard and didn't skip a beat. I was going through some pretty rough terrain and pretty much everything held up well. I had forgotten to tighten the clutch cable nuts so they came loose when I was deep into a forest. I decided to head back and noticed my clutch lever wasn't doing anything. Anyways I blasted back through the trail and came across a fairly large downed log. The big hit it pretty hard and it busted off the rear brake lever. So I have to figure out how to fix that. All in all I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase.
