Pictures of my VADER ( maybe lol )
Trying to post a couple photos i took right before it started pouring down the rain here ,not sure if I will be successful but giving it a shot. Taken with a Kindle Fire 7 that I had no idea how to adjust the resolution on . I have a TON more parts to put on but waiting on this and that so I can do each all at once. Pictured here is new exhaust ,blue anodized bars, levers, bar end mirrors, pegs ,front fork brace ,oil catch can ( half installed lol ) and 12 o'clock bar.The "other side" view shows shifter toe pad and blue anodized & black front sprocket cover.,tail tidy and tag light is in there too but cant see them well. The FOOLIGAN sticker adds 5HP , just FYI lol !

Look close at the blurry photo and you can see the blue anodized oil dip stick and the flush mount rear turn signals ,I have matching ones for the front but not installed yet. Grom Squad swingarm sticker only adds 2.5 HP, half of what the FOOLIGAN one adds, but it was on Sale, so there ! |

I thought you got a blue bike? guess not. How was hooking up the oil catch can? |
Oh the other thing i was going to ask was how was installing the front fork brace?
|
Looks good man! Can't wait to see some stunt videos!
|
Looking Good!
Hey RedCrowRides,
Wow! You have been busy! I don’t know why I thought you had a 1st gen! Now we NEED some videos!!!! You can ride around your part of Florida and show us around! Enjoy the Ride! |

Lol, yeah man sorry the pix are so bad ,I apparently am not a photographer lol .I DID order a Blue one, but then Venom called me back after i had waited 2-1/2 weeks for them to arrive off of PreOrder, and told me they shipped them all Black bikes, so I could either take Black and get it shipped then, or wait another 2-3 weeks for Blue. So, i took Black, and they agreed to sell me Blue plastics at 1/2 price at end of August when they get the plastics in .the oil catch can is actually easy and i like the look of it, the only issue is the Gen 2 plastics are a real pain compared to the Gen 1 plastics, they cover up too much stuff you need to get to ,I had to strip one whole side to plumb the oil can where on a Gen 1 I wouldnt have had to do that at all. That fork brace was super duper easy to install, took like 5 minutes, and it was only 25 dollars or so on EBay, and it is a lot better made than i was expecting for the price. It was so cheap I ordered another one I am going to take the center section out of and use it for my oil cooler radiator brace / bracket. |
Oh, getting black is fine. better than waiting forever. why I got a blue hellcat.
what hoses does the can hook up to? Can't find a proper install video. "I ordered another one I am going to take the center section out of and use it for my oil cooler radiator brace / bracket." That's a good idea. I'm waiting for more black ones to show up on ebay, sold out. I took off my oil cooler, keep leaking, so i ordered a different one. |

I just want it as it looks like it will add some support to the forks. How's your bike coming Hellkitty |
Bike looks great! You don't mess around--you just got the thing and you have customized it already!! Keep us up to date on it, and the photos don't look bad to me...

Link to the Fork Brace I used : https://www.ebay.com/itm/CNC-Shock-A...72.m2749.l2649
The oil catch can is just there on the crankcase vent hose where most people that remove the Emissions stuff put the small filter .The catch can also has a filter to relieve pressure . You "can" run more hoses to it if you retain all the EGR and other Emissions stuff but tbh if you are keeping the Emissions stuff there is a different kit you should use, thats on Ebay for Z50's ,that has a lot more hoses on it. That fork brace is easily strong enough to double as a high fender mount if you mount it up high ,I am going to mount my oil cooler radiator to one that I'm mounting high ,right underneath the lower triple tree by leaving out the center section and just bolting in the fork clamp bits ,then using the holes that the center span would bolt in to , to mount my radiator supports and BINGO instant custom CNC'ed aluminum mounting bracket set up. I've got a ton more parts to put on but can't do any of them thanks to being stuck waiting on one item for each pending project still not having arrived yet and I still need to go plate it at DMV but i'll update as they come in . |

Oh ok thats what i thought. Just the Crankcase vent hose? Or the Gas tank vent hose as well? Right now i just have the gas tank vent hose to open air. |
You can plumb the gas tank vent hose to it also if you want , but I did not ,only the vent hose from crankcase (oil ) . My gas tank vent hose is to open air as well .,reason being i already used up all my trick looking transparent blue silicon fuel line doing stuff that mattered and didn't have enough left to run back to the catch can so i just ran a short piece to open air ,just clear of the engine and other hot bits like the exhaust.

holy shit looks great man! wheres all the videos showing us the bike? i wanna see videos cause you can see more details
i see you still have the emission junk on there but hidden on top, you are not taking that off for any reasons i should know before i take mines off tomorrow? |
My emissions stuff is definitely getting taken off, I have a VM22 carb , new intake and filter I need to put on .The carb also has an aftermarket cable idle adjuster on it and an aftermarket fuel mixture screw ( it's a lot longer and makes it much easier to get to ) . The Gen 2 body panels make getting to the carb and emissions stuff much more difficult than it was with the Gen 1 plastics, and so between that and doing other stuff to it ,I just haven't gotten to that yet, but I will be doing it soon. It also got delayed by my jet(s) kit from China taking forever to get here.
My GoPro is about ready to go , the last thing i just found out i needed was a "frame " housing, i had the waterproof housing but it blocks off where the mic plugs in ,so i had to order a frame mount housing so i can use the mic port ,soon as it gets here I'll start making videos on YouTube ! |
Great to see pics! Wish I was closer so I could come check it out and go ride with you! Can't wait to see more progress pics!
|
Maybe you posted it already but what is that big blue thing under the seat? :hmm: I admit I didn't read all the posts doh

Yeah that's the oil catch can , it's more preparation for a later Zs190 swap than needed now, but it is functional and does serve a purpose. Plus, hell I'm a sucker for trick looking race parts and i run a similar set up on my Mustang GT . I'll post some clearer pictures as soon as my frame housing for my GoPro gets here , I'll also try my cellphone and see if the resolution is any better using it .
I plan to make a Video for YouTube and cover all of what I have done so far, and also show the parts I still have that need to go on still .I'll also do some "install" videos kinda "before and after" I hope , I ain't got a clue about editing and generally speaking when I am putting stuff on, things don't always go as planned and take too long , or I use some rather colorful language that prolly don't need to be on YouTube so we will have to see how it goes lol! |
I admit I race the pee out of mine. I tell it, 'go ahead and blow up so I can order the 190.' haha
|
What'd you do to the fender or is it aftermarket? Definitely different than mine! Looks good!
|
This is the Gen2 Vader ,it is a copy of the Gen 2 Grom in as far as body plastics.the front fender is stock altho I did add a $25 EBay Blue Anodized /Chrome fork brace ,the rear has a EBay from China Tail Tidy . The Tail Tidy came with LED blinkers but they wouldn't clear my 12 bar so I added flush mount turn signals to the side tail plastics.
Anyways thats why the fenders might look different from a Gen 1 body or stock design rear without a tail tidy .I pretty much had to install a tail tidy because that big "hangy downy" factory tail light /fender absolutely crushes into the ground when you wheelie and breaks off . If you don't plan to stunt then it's just a looks thing ,it does clean up the look of the back of the bike a good bit in my opinion but that's just my opinion~ |
aliexpress has some nice cheap tail lights with built in turn signals i bought one from there for $12 and they work great, very high quality
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...rom+tail+light then you could just get a plate mount of some type and throw it on there with lights i did it to mines and it looks really clean, i dont like the looks of having actual turn signals in the back |

Nice. How was buying from Aliexpress? |
aliexpress has been good to me. Takes awhile but comes in and so far so good.

Same here, bought a good bit of stuff. Also I bought a swing arm off eBay, a miscommunication, they sent wrong color and offered a discount on next purchase. Let me know if you're interested;
