Some tires have tread patterns that are best suited to be used as a front or rear. K257D is a knobby with symmetrical pattern, it should be useable as both a front or rear tire.

My bike was from the latest shipment with the new 249cc OHC engine. It also has aluminum rims and nibbi carb stock. Compared to my uncorked and jetted hawk there is a noticable difference in power.
