Ok....I installed my 17/46 combo, took the bike for a ride, and can attain 110km/hr, but thats max....really not a true cruising speed/rev match. I still have the extreme stuttering problem at high revs in 5th. The bike jerks and slows down. I twisted the throttle enough to induce the stutter and found its not near rev limit as there is throttle still to be added.
ANYONE have any ideas? I'm going fruit! I'm wondering now if its a spark issue. Maybe the stock coil is weak or something? The plug is a NGK D7EA gapped at .025-.027
My next course of action is to remove my small inline fuel filter to see if there is restriction in fuel flow causing the issue. In the meantime, please brainstorm.
UPDATE: swapped on a brand new PZ30 carb jetted @ 132 main. The bike has more power than with the 120 main, but still sputters at high revs. Ideas???
Maybe a slipping clutch at high RPM is allowing it to bounce of the rev limiter? The clutch does slip, and the exhaust is rather loud, so maybe its a possibility.
