Culcune is giving good advice for New Jersey. All spot on.
I bought and registered a TBR7 in New Jersey with no issues for the same reasons. This is because it is listed on the approved manufacturers list. https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/vehi...ufacturers.pdf Its my knock around plated bike for the state forest permitted roads. I don't feel as bad about dropping it as I would with a much more expensive machine. It does the job. You will want to replace the carb and jet (minkuni 110main and 30 pilot on mine), replace the sprockets (100 link 520 with front 13 and rear 32, but would prefer 33 if available), better hand guards, better shock (I am shorter so 290mm 1200lb load), etc. I would have preferred the 21" and 18" rims for better tire selection, but the TBR7 appears just about the same thing otherwise. |
