I know what you mean....but keep your eye on it. I holed a piston in my old HD Ironhead with a leaky intake o-ring. It wasn't pretty.

It will be interesting to get more of these solid manifolds out there and in service to see how they do. Like I said, I've not had any issues with them but I don't ride hard either.

Funny thing was my Lifan motor (X-Moto) took the manifold flipped one way and the TT250 takes it flipped the other way. It's just a matter of which way the carb points coming off the motor.

The idea of the plastic or rubber intake pipe is to isolate the carburetor from engine heat. You are right, aluminum is a great heat shedder. The idea is to keep the heat from the head heating the carb..ARH

Thats weird. Ive had mine for a while and I too tried installing it yesterday with (obviously) the same results.

I'll just toss mine onto the classifieds here and ebay. Someone can get some good use from it.

So.....Round two. If anyone knows of a replacement that fits out bikes, please advise.

got to love the Chinamen... sell anything for anything..
just last week I was looking at a set of front BRAKE SHOES
on a china site... one of the bikes they listed as fitment was a YZF250...
The thing is yamaha have never made a YZF250 with drum brakes...

a case of know what yer buying.......

Does it look exactly like the picture? It should fit.
Like I said in a prior post, you can flip them upside down depending on which way the carb points.
On my X-moto, since you can no longer flex the manifold, I had to mount the carb to the manifold, then work the whole unit into place.

Sorry guys . Well I feel like a dumb a__. Even though they have the same description and picture as the one that works the one you have has a different part number. It should be part # 00312 and not 00533. Does it look anything like the picture? I'll do some more searching. I like to have one on hand before I need one.

I ran one on my X-Moto 200GY for over two years with no issues, before I sold it.....and it gets over 110' here. Not that I ride when it's that hot.

Yep, I tried every way. Simply formed at a different angle than ours.

Hey, no problem. I have one exactly like stock saved in my ebay page for $8 shipped. I'll prob buy is as a backup for now.
