They won't have a price until they have a part number, and in stock. Maybe. We need more people interested in it before they will order some (if Zuumav has extras). |

Popped the bud fuse coming off my battery today-I can clearly see 250v but not the amperage-are they 10A?
Edit: No auto parts stores within 40 miles of me have 10a 250v glass fuses. Lol. WTF man. Edit II: The bike cokes with a spare in the fuse box! Ha!

Some folks don't like not having a petcock with official ON and Reserve. Not sure I didn't think of this before.
Fuel tank crossover lines have been a thing for decades. If both fuel nipples on the Templar X 250 tank are both flush with the bottom of the fuel tank simply remove the existing fuel lines and petcock and install a single fuel line from one tank nipple to the other tank nipple. This creates a fuel crossover line that allows fuel to flow from one side of the fuel tank to the other side. Now that both lobes are connected, install a new petcock bung in a new location on the tank and install a petcock that screws into the corresponding bung that comes with ON and Reserve tubes, these also usually have depending on personal opinion either the added benefit or hassle of an added fuel filter tube surrounding both pickup tubes. Edit: If going to that trouble, you might as well look at if its possible to put in a fuel sender unit as well.

I accidentally popped my stock fuse when I was putting together my bike. NAPA auto parts had a 5 pack of 10a-250v fuses. Popped right in and worked great.

To be fair, they mostly cater to large trucks/tractors out here

Has anyone replaced their stock air box with a pod filter?

If you can find a mix of components that would make that work you’d be the first-there is very little room in there to do so.
exactly what I’m thinking needs to be done.

Ideas for items to add to Templar X resource guide:
- Best chain upgrade (Amazon link) - Tire suggestions for someone who rides on-road more than off-road (70/30) - Oil cooler (has anyone added one yet?) - Pictures/instructions for re-jetting stock carburetor and shimming needle - Correct bolt/screw sizes for the stock carburetor Last edited by NCtemplar250; 01-23-2023 at 04:41 PM. |

For your resource guide I would say between the posts from Thumper and I you should have all the photos and instructions you need for the re-jetting and shimming of the carburetor and the size replacement bolts for the ones that need removing as well as removing the aluminum air pilot adjustment screw plug for your resource guide. I mostly just added mine to Thumper's separate post on the subject and then have other build photos and details on my own post.
The safest chain size to recommend without knowing what sprocket sizes people are changing to would be the 120 link RK SO chain. RK Racing Chain 520-SO-120 (520 Series) Steel 120 Link Traditional Street and Off-Road O-Ring Chain with Connecting Link https://www.amazon.com/RK-Racing-Cha...007A8OSKS?th=1 Tires I have not worn my factory OEM knobbies out yet. I had originally planned for 70/30 Shinko 705 Series Dual Sport Tires for a name brand tire. For a cheap no name tire from Amazon I don't know, I have not studied any of the off-brand tires yet. 705 Series Dual Sport https://shinkotireusa.com/product/705-series-dual-sport-tire/211929

Kenda K270 as a 70/30, K271 as an 80/20ish tire. 271 is excellent on the street, and not awful on hardpack. Shinko 700 70/30 is good. Tusk D Sport as a 50/50, better off-road. IMHO, of course. |
