XP 200 WONT START

Well have been doing some riding the last few days and it been alot of fun! Today i rode for 45 mins and stoped at a friends house, came back out and the Bike would not start! When i bout the bike it did not have a kick start so i ran with the bike and poped it in gear then droped the clutch! Bike fired up and i rode her home! So its not the battery, When i got home and push the E start it clicks. I puled off what i think is the Real/Silnode. I think this is my problem and now i Dont know where to get one! Has anyone had this problem Befor? I also need to find a kick start haha! Can anyone point me in the right Direction?

Even though it started, it might still be the battery. These bikes will start and run with a weak one. Myself and others are starting to replace ours as they are going out. I know of three of us that have 2009 models that the battery went. Hook it up to a known good battery and see if it starts. Also, put a charge on yours (if it will hold one) and try again. Eliminate the battery before you go on to something else.

It's your battery.

Also get a kickstarter from Suzuki or eBay.

Batterys die, you'll need and appreciate the kickstarter someday.

I'm betting on a bad battery. The one in my Qlink XF200 just died.

I agree with all the others. Try jump starting your bike from your automobile, without starting the car's engine. I also agree with FastDoc; get a kick start lever as soon as you can.

Agreed withx5 above - Battery Issue and definately get a Kick Starter ASAP. I Put a BRAND New battery on mine and even though it's NEW - If it sits over 5 days battery get's weak. I kick it once and she fires right up and battery is fine from there on out, unless it sits for a long period of time. I also Highly recommend a Battery tender from Walmart $20 and it even comes with a QUICK Connect, so all you have to do is keep your bike plugged in when your NOT Riding. Best investment I made for mine when I replaced my battery.

I had a similar issue. It turned out that the battery was good but it the ground was set up bad. Relocated the ground and it started great ever since.

A friend of mine is having trouble with his bike. When you press the starter button it just clicks. It will not jump either on the battery terminals or straight on the solenoid. Will not bump start and no kick starter on the bike, either. We tried charging the battery overnight, with still no luck.

You could take you battery to the local Autozone or whatever and have them do a load test to check the batteries Amperage, it's free and gives you the knowledge of the true performance of your battery. Bad or dead cells in the battery will show in the test even if it is showing the correct voltage reading. Also pull out the ohm meter and check the battery cables and grounds
