Still running strong.
I have a little over a hundred miles on the bike now and all is well. My commute is only 5 miles each way, so I havent really had time to take her for a longer road trip yet. But with the first day of summer the weather is finally looking on the up and up, so it should be hard to get a nice long ride in soon!

Actual mileage will be less if part of the time you are only on one wheel. 8)

Oh yeah, good point
![]() Actually I really wish this thing had just a little more power to make wheelies much easier. |

Wild Alaskan fit a 400cc Honda ATV engine into a similar frame...

No kidding!
No kidding huh? I was actually thinking about that the other day and if it would be possible. However Im pretty sure a 400cc engine (let along Japanese engine) would just tear this frame apart lol.

It required significant modifications and bent his swingarm...
WA is a master fabricator and I'd not recommend this mod for anyone else... Enjoy it for what it is. 8)

Or start playing with serious engine mods, like cams and whatnot. Just doesn't seem worth it for me on a $1200 bike, I prefer to take FastDoc's approach and just enjoy it for what it is... If I were to go through the time, effort, and expense of grafting a 400, I would buy a used DRZ400SM and save myself the trouble.

Oh yeah, I in no way was "entertainging the idea" Only mod I need is a smaller sprocket on the rear.
As for wheelies, Ill get em dialed here soon, just tough to learn em when your basically doing all the work ![]() |

Thanks for the update, Mike! I'm very glad to hear you bike is running well.
![]() P.S. You only have to ride another 40,000 more miles to catch me on my Zongshen 200GY-2. ![]() Spud ![]()

You're not riding it properly, based on my bicycle experience.

I'd say you were flying alongside it, instead of riding it.
