Everything "was" fixed...

The bike is running good and got to take it out for a ride today! Was a nice day and rode bout 50 mile spouted a few places to run some errands but the last stop I went out to start the bike and out did not start... Thank god for kick start! Rode it home and checked the battery, full... Checked the starter, no power. Held the starter burton down and a clicking came from the relay/solenoid. I replaced this on the bike once already. Is it common that these go bad? Thoughts on getting the starter working please! I'm thinking relay switch... It's a hibird 200 cc btw. Thanks fellow china riders!

usually clicking comes from a bad battery. try jump starting it off of a car. if it still clicks its a bad relay

I has the charger hooked up to the battery for extra juice when it was clicking. When I didn't have that on it wouldnt do anything? So I'm guessing relay?

I had a CB with a bad relay and it was a brand new one at that.

Hmm well thats probably what it was just a bad relay... Found replacement one for $13 with shipping so I'll give that a try. In the meantime I'll finish my paint job and few mods and post some pics.

I wonder if you can find a higher quality solenoid for cheap, like a Ford unit from the boneyard. That will likely outlive the bike.

still sounds like a bad battery to me, clicking is about all you would expect out of trying to start off of a charger, they are only usually about 2 amps. Try jump starting off of a known good battery before you start replacing parts

I took the battery out and put it on the charger. Would not charge or hold a charge. So I'm going with your answer wild alaskan! Thanks for the help!

The original batteries will die like that.

That battery was likely years old when the bike was 'new'.

Now is a good opportunity to get away from a wet cell battery. I can show you what years of acid venting from the tube will do to the swingarm.
