XINGYUE XY400 for 2012? where to buy a Qlink 200 motard?
I was considering the XINGYUE XY400GY-2, but after reading the reviews here, was wondering if the new versions have any of these problems corrected? I see a 2009 model for sale (NIB) for $2399 here:
http://scooters-4-commuters.com/8173.html is the 2009 model the one with all the problems you guys reference here? also, are their any Qlink dealers in the ca/az area? I was unaware of the motard being an OHC model..perhaps its what I really need. I owned three Zongs, the sierra, the 250gs, and the 250 v twin (the first two were junk, the vtwin is a neat little bike, I sold it when I moved to Puerto Vallarta, and now im kicking myself. It had 3500 miles on it, and no problems of any kind, except the usual loose bolt here and there on any CB. I look forward to your responses. Edward having owned 26 motorcycles, at the current time, I have none....

XINGYUE XY400GY-2- The crappy bike on which all crappy bikes are based  . Never recommended. Do a search on the exploits of the Pitster Pro 400 here for more detail.
Q does business by shipping/mail order. $200 to nywhere in the US, IIRC. Good bikes. I'm surprised to hear you did not like the ZS200 Sierra. It's a famously good bike o this forum. The ZS250 seems to be trouble ridden, and the 250 V Twin is high on the desireablity scale here. Welcome to the forum. You need a bike. I would NEVER be caught without a bike in my garage, unless I needed the money for food and had no fat to lose...

Qlink.com
Thx for the response. The Sierra was not very well made, imho. plus it sounded like it would fly apart at any second, and felt very "unstable" on the street....took me a while to sell it also, with no miles on it..(200?)
the gs250 was just as bad, I did however ride it alot more, once taking it on a trip from fresno to san jose and back, in the summer, when it only had about 300 miles on it.......it started to develop the transmission problems you read about here, and the upper end started make a horrible noise....the front shocks on the thing were useless, and all the electronics on it sucked. Go back and do it all over, I would have bought 3 of the 250-5 "strom" vtwins, for about the same money total....id probably still have two of them in the crate! I need a big enduro, like a KLR. I weigh 250 and am 6-2. however, I am never going to road trip a bike from here to the states, so a 250 would work. As I started to learn about Qlink, I thought maybe the "supermoto" was just the thing, but now I see on the Qlink website a 250 water cooled 6 speed model! this is much more to my liking, however, you cant seem to order any bikes on the site, only parts? I will have pics of the Zong up sometime soon!

How long have you been in Mexico? Is it permanent? Personally I'd relish the idea of riding a KLR from Puerto Vallarta to California.

Hey, zrxwest. The water-cooled Qlink is not in the US, although QLINK have teased us for a couple of years now. Not sure if it will ever get here :x
Pitster Pro is selling street-legal-ish enduros now (AZ, probably no problem getting it registered, California, some problem getting them registered). http://tboltusa.com/store/pitster-pr...sc-p-1092.html They seem intriguing being the Galaxy XTR 250 bike which has many reviews on mychinamoto.com Just something to consider besides the Qlink, although the Qlink is a decent Chinese bike.

Welcome, we are glad you joined us. You're the first person I've met who didn't like his Zongshen Sierra 200 (200GY-2). :? I have ridden mine over 50,000 miles, and I love it. You might enjoy reading some of the threads in the Zong Sticky, which I maintain.

Stay away, far away, from any of the Xingyue XY bikes! 8O We had a number of people on these forums who bought one. Several people, including FastDoc, had numerous problems with them. Of the others, no one has ever come here and reported the bike has proven to be reliable. In fact, I have scoured the internet, and I can't find a single report from anyone has proven these bikes to be reliable for even 5,000 miles. :(
QLink doesn't manufacture any motorcycles; they merely import them from a variety of manufacturers. However, the bikes QLink imports seem to be of uniformly higher quality than most Chinese motorcycles. QLink used to import the Zongshen Sierra 200 (200GY-2) as the QLink X-Ranger. Spud

I think I will return for about 3 months of work (trucking) then come back down to vallarta to get married to her. I have a little utility trailer that I pull with my 2006 Nissan Sentra. as far as riding from here, its all highway, although some great scenery...I think you would be better served to do the baja to Cabo.......

http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto..._8064858_n.jpg
not mine i have the silver one, with the "fake" 2 into one exhaust... this exhaust is fake also.... these are damn good lil bikes, I weigh 250, and with combination of around town and highway this bike was avg. 70 mpg, and i felt like i was mainly riding the snot out of it..... I paid $1500 for mine.....and wish i still had it! i put 3500 miles on it, and it was a fun to ride, great handling little bike, with its mono shock design.
