That's a beautiful drive. I recommend camping at the halfway point, which is the David Thompson highway.

There are (as I remember), but that was about 17 years ago. I encourage you to check the Travel Alberta site, and I think you'll find a terrific spot within a few clicks of the Icefields Parkway.
