I meant the regular stuff for cars. After running Pennzoil for a while drop your oilpan. You'll make the switch to Castrol GTX right away. Pennzoil leaves a tarry coating on the inside of an engine. I wouldn't think about putting it in a bike. If I HAD to run Pennzoil in a car I'd keep a quart of ATF in the engine with it just to keep things clean.

i've got a 1991 s-10 4.3l v6 4x4 120,000 plus or minus miles on it bought it with 70,000 miles been useing penzoil ever since never had the engine apart. i guess it all goes back to personal preferance. maybe if/when i have to tear into it i'll see you're right and change brands ,but for now i have no reason to change.

I have taken apart Penzoil a engine....Sludge and slime about a 1/4 inch thick. Been a Valvoline guy ever since. Penzoil changed the formula for a reason...Not sure how the new one is.

There's 2 more guys that have torn into engines running Pennzoil saying the same thing I've heard from others over the years.
Maybe that's why the shops use pennzoil and charge little for an oil change.
One time in the cold winter I had a shop change my oil but asked them to use Castrol GTX and the price was almost double.

I with you AZ200c I have had a Chevy 350 that was just a mess when I tore it down. I ended up just buying a reman and putting it in instead. I would not want to try Penzoil again after that.
