Just a thought and forgive me if you have alread done it, but is it possible to compare the carbs on the two motors in question? Even if they use the same carb body the jets would be condiderably different wouldn't they?

I agree with you, and I thought about that. The carb is a Keihin clone PZ27, with a 109 main and a 38 slow jet. Typical for the care and feeding of a 200. I doubt that a 125 could be that thirsty.

Figured that you would have thought of that and don't mean to butt in, just the type of idiot that would loose sleep until I knew what motor I had.

Is there a number on the clutch side that denotes oil capacity? I know my XF200 says 1000ml and the 125's sold in Europe say 850ml. You may be able to figure out cc this way.

With this platform (and all other things being equal), only the bore and stroke would be dissimilar. The transmission has the same basic bulk as a 230, so the oil volume would be the same.

![]() I think this is the code you are looking for. 163FMI. If the db07a is the one with the ohv honda clone, then that is the one I own. |
