Glad its not just us Brits who have to suffer this miserable weather . Where is BC?

It was beautiful yesterday hitting almost 14 celcius, now its pissing down again. Guess thats our summer over lol.

My Arizona still has its factory front tyre on the front and is hideous in the wet. Its such a hard compound it just doesnt wear but gives very little grip when the inevitable British weather strikes. Really should invest in a decent one but for some reason they are so overpriced and i cant bring myself to molest my wallet in such a way lol

Thanks guys, I'll try and snap some more pics of my little beauty when im out and about in Bristol. You heard of Brunel? The famous British engineer? Well i live 2minutes from the famous Bristol suspension bridge which has some epic backdrops to a good bike picture. I'll put some up soon

Oh and thanks for such a warm welcome

Hi Culley, I stayed in Bristol last year as I was buying Royal Enfield parts in Weston-Super-Mare. Great city, great nightlife. The Bristol Suspension Bridge would be a great place to photograph and put up here

BC (or British Columbia) is the western-most Province in Canada. Pehaps our weather is the reason for calling it British Columbia.

Was passing the Suspension Bridge today so though I'd stop and snap a few pictures for my fellow China Riders. Bit gloomy weather but a lovely backdrop nonetheless.

Your bike looks great. Thanks for posting the nice photographs! I especially enjoyed the last photograph. It's not mandatory to include the bike in the photos; we also love photographs of scenery.

Thanks Spud.

I put a bigger main jet in my Arizona carb today. I went from the stock 5/90 to a 5/105.5. Performance is massively improved but i was wondering how big i could go before it either offered no extra performance or made it worse?

Also, Do performance/pulsed/fired CDI units make any difference?

The best way to fine tune the carburetor jets is to keep doing as you have done. Carburetor jets don't cost very much. Therefore, I suggest you also try the next size larger, main jet. If performance at full throttle improves, try yet another, larger main jet. However, if the bike bogs down at full throttle, the engine is receiving too much fuel, so go back to the next size smaller, main jet.

If the bike is starting well, and running well up to 1/4 throttle, the pilot jet is good, and I wouldn't mess with it. Performance from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle is dependent on the position of the jet needle inside the main jet.

If the "performance CDI unit" is not too expensive, it doesn't hurt to experiment with it. Your "butt dynamometer" will tell you if the unit has increased engine performance. However, I personally wouldn't spend a lot of money on one of these units, because I think the performance gains, if any, are minimal.

Nevertheless, it is always good to have a spare CDI unit on hand. A spare unit greatly facilitates troubleshooting problems with the bike's electrical system. Also, the Chinese CDI units are notorious for failing. :roll: I usually get about 12,000 miles from one of my Zongshen CDI units before it begins to exhibit intermittent failures. :( Therefore, I suggest you get a spare CDI unit, so you will have it available when you need it. If the price difference is not excessive, you could certainly choose a performance CDI unit as your spare.

Thanks for info Spud. Think I'll invest in a spare CDI. Might as well try the 'Performance' one and see if it makes a vague difference. I hear its only the cdi, coil and HT lead that tends to fail on Chinese bikes?

Just been on an absolutely beautiful ride. Gleaming weather, winding country roads, iPod on and no traffic. Actually gave me goosebumps, couldn't stop smiling lol

Just goes to show it doesn't matter what bike you're on, just as long you're on two wheels.

The CDI units are the most failure-prone component in the Chinese electrical systems. However, other components do occasionally fail.
