Help identifying this quad

Well I have been reading this forum since the first 50cc atv for my kids but now I need some specific advice as to what I actually have here.

I believe it is av 200cc or 250cc, is air cooled, manual 4 speed with reverse. I believe the C on the front stands for Coolster but their parts guy said it didn't look familiar. Has a Mikuni carb. Engine seems to vibrate a ton in first gear. Blows the chain under acceleration though I have spent no time on sprocket alignment and/ or axle truing to perpendicular. Spent first 3 days of ownership sorting out all of the wiring birds nest. Starts and idles fine now though the carb and intake tract will be yanked before weekend for some work. Sprockets and chain are on the list too. Any luck on finding plastics reasonably?

I'm quite familiar with that quad; MidlifeKrisis has one that is very similar. Please show us a pic of the rear axle.

It's not likely to have a Mikuni unless a PO installed one. You can tell by the number of float bowl screws.

The engine is either 200 or 230cc (most likely 230), and we can probably identify it if you tell us the number near the shifter shaft.

WG.. I looked for any numbers on the jug or case for ever. After you said look at the shifter area it was likeb 2" by 3" of numbers....duh-164fml06050174 is stamped there. Here are some more pics. I too am suspect of the Mikuni being real as it looks fake or copied. Kind of funny that your post about swing arm rebuild is what originally brought me to this site.

It looks like we have the same stinkin' swingarm. Oh well, it can be corrected. BTW, it's a 200 like mine.

It looks like a Coolster, Gio, EZ ATV,TaoTao.........but what is it? Other than the C on the front bumper and the stamp at the gear selector nothing to ID this thing. I need plastics real soon and a seat so I would like to narrow it down.

Hey wikid. The pics you have looks extremly identical to mine. I have a 05 roketa rts-250ww. Yiur carb looks offical not a knock off. Look around for atv-04 rtk250w parts and id bet $10 to a doughnut that it lines up. Btw that carbs atv gold bro. A good site to check for low price fatory direct parts would be
Roketa.com/parts an again atv-04 (rtk250w) parts an plastic should line right up.

yes it looks like a older gio beast.. the bushing look like they are shot for the swingarm causing the chain to rub like that... get the poly bushings.. WELDAND GRIND will tell you about those... almost everyone makes these.. the 250 cc are watercooled and the 200 are air( I would say most of the time)... you can check any dealer for this stuff.. as I say taotao dealers as well.. where are you?

All chinese ATV's are generic, you can buy a container full and put any name you want on them. Never worry about the name. What you need to know is the CC's of the engine. It is a verticle CG type engine, mine is a cg200 but the CG250 is just a little different. Search " CG200 engine or CG250 engine for better details. Never the less these are stong bad ass engines. The rear end is typicial of any chinese rig. The secret is to look on the engine and there is a serial number! Google this number! All parts for this rig can be found by measuring them and matching them,thats how it works. Message me with any question you want!
