Ural Wolf
The speed kit was dealer installed on my Continental GT, unfortunately, the GT left me stranded on my ride back home, the problem is related to the power commander. Frank, the dealership owner, loaned me his Ural Wolf and I rode home. Yesterday I called dealer and I was told that my GT was ready, it wasn't so I retuned home again on the Wolf, I now I have put 375 miles on it. It's unique to say the least, a Russian cruiser with a reverse gear and dual controls.

The concept of a Russian Cruiser sounds as odd as a Chinese Ferrari lol! Looks like a very interesting bike though, I like it. I am interested in the report on your RE. I'm relieved to hear the problem was not due to the bike itself but rather the new aftermarket Power Controller. I pick mine up Saturday.

Yes, there is a regular rear brake and a shifter, plus forward controls
The GT looks good, a retro 7" headlight, bar ends & exhaust, I'll post photos when I retrieve it.

I can't wait. Our riding weather has been so extraordinary.
It the light for looks or function or both? I thought the stock light is a 55 watt halogen which is industry standard more or less.

Looks and function, it looks a little more authentic. I have amigos and their wives coming up from Peru and Ecuador next week, hopefully the GT will be ready for our planned ride. Here are a couple of photos of my new moto.

FJR. Very serious machine. :-)
My friend Mark has one and it is awesome. I had actually considered one instead of the Ducati ST4S-ABS I wound up purchasing because of the 100 or so pound reduction in the weight of the Ducati and it's superior handling and braking ability. The FJR is a sportsTOURER and the Ducati is a SPORTStourer. Since I have the Gold Wing I prefered the Ducati for my needs. With that said, as fast as my 4S is, your FJR would leave it for dead on a long straightaway!

Thanks for the pics of that Ural, OG. I'm diggin' the old BMW boxer-based motor, and the dual controls. It's cool that you can change from mids to forward controls on the fly.

Yep, everything was sorted out, this time I made it 16 miles, looks good broken down on the side of the road though. Rode the Wolf home, rained all the way.

Raceway has delivered eight GT's and mine is the only one they have problems with. There are three unrelated electrical problems and none of them had anything to do with the modifications. The shop has been great, Frank the owner says it is now fixed, he put about 50 miles on it tonight. He will ride it up to my place tomorrow morning (115 miles), so it should be good to go (if he makes it).

Electrical gremlins are the worst. Sometimes a bad crimp, sometimes an internal wire break. Usually found by accident.
