Many people have purchased Bashan enduros which come in both 200cc and 223cc form, but I believe they have dried up from online retailers. I have recommended the slightly more expensive TMEC 200cc enduros simply because the distributor is VERY hands on and has parts for the bikes in stock. You can purchase directly from the distributor, Excalibur Motorsports www.atv4usa.com and here is a direct link to the bike http://www.atv4usa.com/proddetail.as...EC200-1&cat=17 unless you have one of their dealers nearby (they won't undersell their dealers)...the owner of the distributorship, Wade Liu is very hands on and will guide you through the purchase personally. Call them up and speak with either Wade, or the manager Alan to see if this bike is for you. The TMECs, like the Bashan enduros, are 49 state EPA/DOT certified, with California being a no-go for either brand (ironic since Excalibur are located in California!)

I should mention, I had a '09 TMEC which I put over 10,000 miles on in 18 months of daily commuting (33 miles/day) in southern AZ (brutal midday summer heat; 16 miles daily ride home), and I upgraded to a new model last May and have 4000 miles so far (I was run off the road at the end of October on it, breaking my collarbone and a bone in my arm, and did not ride it for November and December). I sold my old bike to a friend who is far more mechanical and he has gotten it back on the road with some needed welding and minor repairs, such as the shifter lever. Before he bought it, it had been sitting for the entire summer, and I when he bought it in September, with my new battery from the new bike (I had bought a gel battery for the old bike which I put on my new bike back in May), the bike still fired right up!

There are far fewer places to purchase now than 5 years ago.

X2. With any luck, you'll get a counter-balanced version.

http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=14396 TMEC--contact the owner of Excalibur, Wade Liu, and tell him I sent you and see what kind of price he can get you one for. Shop around before buying used, or at least wheel and deal down from $1200. I wouldn't spend more than $800 for a used Chinese bike
