Wiring Size?
Hello,
I need some help on what kind of wire and size of wire I need to buy for my bike to wire / tap into different area to power my Speedometer. Also what is the best way to tap into another wire for example, I will need to tap into red wire on my ignition switch to the Speedometer. Where is a spot I can buy this wire, and any tips in soldering. Also I have this area on my bike that I believe I need to tap into aswell, the area I have to play with is about 4-6 inches so its going to be a little tricky. Any tips on this would be great, Ill show you my diagram. The tricky area is from the coil to CDI unit, see upper mid right of diagram. Its the black/yellow wire. |

quick question about taillight wiring
I have this tail light with 3 wires coming from it, I don't know what wire does what, and also I have this Baja Kit wiring harness that has 2 wires for the tail light and 2 wires for the switch for the taillight. Im just confused on what wire goes where to operate it, If Im not using a taillight switch, I want the light to go on when I switch my headlight switch to Low / High beam etc. How do I do this? When I find or buy a switch Ill load it in.. Ill show the diagram for the Baja harness for a different bike etc..

Use your existing wire as reference. You can go to a good auto part store and they will have some wiring for basic auto electronics. Especially for lighting. You can also buy a wiring gauge to size your wire. Your wiring diagram will show you what wires go where.
