*sigh* looking for a distributor. . .
I'm looking for a distributor for the Dong Fang sport bike the (D250RTC) anywhere in the southern United States that can ship the bike. I saw the vendor in Georgia had it, but their reviews make me skittish, so I'm looking for alternatives. Anyone out there got any info? The only other option for getting a china bike is a local dealer who will be carrying one on a semi-permanent basis! http://www.cyclespringsonline.com/pr...h=3323286&nv=y
As well as used Kymco Quannon (Same as the above link) for a bit cheaper: http://www.westcoastpowersports.com/...56&pov=3316794

Know something I don't? I'd love to buy it from them, but I'm wary of being ripped-off.

They have been around since near the beginning of chinariders because we have discussed them many, many times here over the past 7 or 8 years. I doubt they could survive ripping people off year after year. Especially not in a consumer friendly state like California. However, I have never personally dealt with them. But I am quite sure a majority of the complaints have been from those who don't know Chinese bikes, and expect their $600 scooter to be as high quality as the $2000 Honda--when it's not, it is all over the internet complaint sites.

I too am in search of a good distributor. So much negative press on a lot of these guys. I understand a bit better now that the average, unassuming buyer sees the low price and doesn't equate that with the extra work they will need to perform to set the machine up as well as the somewhat constant pitcrew captain persona required to keep everything running smooth. This won't be the first time I purchased a vehicle online as I have dealt with greenearth scooters before and had a pretty positive experience. Now, trying to buy a motorcycle online (for whatever reason) is a bit trickier for me. Trying to find a reputable distributor that will stand by the sale seems few and far between at this point.

This is where I purchased my scooter from. The only thing I can say is the purchase, delivery and paperwork could not have been any smoother. I purchased online and a big 18 wheeler semi delivered the bike to my front door in a box a week later. A couple days after scooter delivery I received all the paperwork in the mail to get the bike registered and Florida never blinked an eye at the paperwork. $200.00 something odd dollars and Florida gave me a title, registration and tag. I did not purchase any kind of extended warranty. I did have a couple minor broken items when I put the bike together but they were cosmetic and did not keep me from enjoying the scooter. I filled out the online warranty form as instructed and new replacement parts were sent to me as quickly as possible. Also during the whole process if I had any questions I used the online web chat feature and someone chatted with me every time and answered my questions. 100% positive experience. But I can only say this because nothing went wrong for me. If my scooter would have blown up in the 1st week I can't say how it would have been handled.
I recommend this dealer. http://www.powerrideoutlet.com/ / |
