A Painful Day

Well.....I did it. After buying this gorgeous Victory Touring Cruiser brand new in 2002....and having some of the best memories, adventures, bike camping excursions with the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. 2LZ, many crazy parties with other riders and times on this bike that I shouldn't mention here....I sold her yesterday.
Between moving a few years ago and spending all of our time on the house and property....and some health issues I've been dealing with in the last 6 months or so, I just couldn't sit there and watch her chew up new batteries from non-use.
It was a long and hard decision over the last couple years but she went to the best home possible. Another long-term Victory rider who will treat her with the same love and attention that I have. I know...it's "just a bike"....but it's gonna take a while to get over this one.
Fortunately, if I ever have the need for a 90 hp blast, Mrs. 2LZ is keeping her modded Kingpin....so at least I can get a "fix" once in a while.
Guess I better go edit my signature!
...and FYI, never hesitate to buy a Victory. Both of ours have been flawless over all the years.

It's not just a bike. You were the caretaker of it, and now someone else has the honour. I'm glad that your time with it came to a successful end.

Vic's are GREAT bikes, and getting better all the time.

If a person wants a very large curiser or tourer with American genetics it's the bike of choice by a wide margin, IMHO. The exception (addition) is it's relative, the Indian. Victory is postitioning itself a little different, as the 'performance' cruiser and Indian as the 'traditional' cruiser but both excellent machines. I've always been happy to see Victory's success.

You had it for a good long time, and there's a lot of memories you get to keep even though you sold the bike.

I hope you and Mrs. 2LZ get many many more happy healthy years to enjoy all your hobbies and joys; motorcycles and everythig else.
