That's too funny!

BTW I have some wonderful memories of vacationing with the motorcycle at a friend's father's cabin on Moosehead Lake. In the summer though ;-)

Quite likely correct. In northern Alberta (where I was raised), salt is only used when the temperature is above about 14F. Any colder than that, and salt is useless.

everything you want to know and need is there.

A Ural is very different than any other bike and you really need to know what they are, how they ride, all pluses and minuses before purchasing. Some love them some hate them, I knew what I was getting and never regretted a single second. I believe they are the most fun, most universal machine on 3 wheels. I have some of the greatest memories in my life with my Ural.

My Maine raised grand daughter has been know to walk around her yard wearing a Disney Princess dress and mud boots while carrying a chicken under her arm.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

After reading both threads on ADV Rider, I've come to the conclusion that owning a Ural is akin to owning a Jeep CJ/Wrangler; "You wouldn't understand".
