Hawk Airbox mod.....

im thinking since I did the mikuni carb swap I could do this mod instead of ordering a pod filter?

That wold be a good mod to do, save you some $$$ and also, it looks like the air filter element is the same as in the TT250 they show in the tutorial on CSC.

Want to know something funny? Same air filter on my Ariens LM21 Walk behind mower with a Briggs & Stratton LOL!

I seriously doubt that the airbox mod will increase anything else than noise.

My little Zongshen 125 had holes drilled in the airbox and the filter foam removed.
Taping up the holes and putting the foam filter back didn't make it go any slower, but reduced the intake noise.

I'm not sure if it works or not. I drilled a bunch of 1/2 holes in the top of my Q air box instead of replacing it because the box actually supports the carb and I know it didn't hurt. Anything you can do to ease intake restriction is a plus.

If you watch the video ha said he had to jump a jet size......
