Clutch lever Re- turn spring
After adjusting my clutch with the proper slack. And the hand lever having req. 10mm to 20mm free play. I hate that the lever does not return home many bikes have a light spring to return the lever home or all the way forward. Is my bike odd or are all the RX3 setup this way?

Mine is the same and doesn't return the last little bit, but I'm thinking when riding the first little bump in the road will giggle it back all the way. I'll have to watch it when riding next time. It seems like the only spring pulling it back home is the clutch pressure plate springs. And it has to compress the clutch safety switch under the lever working against it. An annoyance but doesn't mean it's a problem I guess .Maybe lubing the lever pivot will help some. rj

All five of my motorcycles, including the RX3, are set up the same as yours. However, my clutch lever does return to full extension. I suggest you try lubricating the clutch cable.

Jay you are correct there is actually a spring action stopping it from returning to full home or extended. If I push it forward to fully extended it springs right back to the end of my free play.
I will have to look into it further there must be some tweaking that can be done.
