Clutch cable retainer band failure.

As I've mentioned I usually ride my hawk to work about 9 miles...so today pulling into the office garage I was immediately distracted by a gleaming new BMW s 1000rr a buddy has been threatening to buy when I noticed a smell of burning plastic.

I know others have had that little pos plastic band break so I probably should have replaced it sooner.

So being a resourceful China rider with a bike that begs to be repaired with McGyvered doodads I submit my handy work that allowed me to leave work and make it home in time for dinner without igniting my clutch cable....

Nice job. That was an ingenious fix, worthy of a true China Rider.

The Made in China stamp on the paper clip is poetic.

Great work on the fly! It's amazing what you can do with a binder clip. Hold chip bags closed perfectly!

Exactly...I figured keeping the parts source was crucial to maintain the integrity of the bike.
