Mine wasn't shipped, I'm local so I picked it up.

too soon for that, isn't going to reach top speed until it is broken in...... my Hawk is still turning out higher and higher speeds as it breaks in.

I'm looking at LED headlight bulbs for the TT, do you know what bulb size this bike uses? Thank you in advance.

broken speedo cable

Hello all. Both '16 TT 250 guy and Kohburn have reported broken speedo cables on new TT250 bikes. One was reported with just over 12 miles on the bike. Is this a cable rerouting issue? Where are the cables breaking? I'm just thinking if the problem is common between the two, maybe CSC will check the other bikes before they ship. Ordered my stealthy black TT on Feb 12 and love reading all this stuff about it, the Hawks, etc. Thanks.

I can take some pics of the location of the damage. its just a routing issue putting extra tight bend in the line.

Mine went 12.6 miles, 12.5 1/2 really. The problem is caused by the guys assembling them at CSC and they've figured it out. When they install the headlight the cable gets sorta pinched up against the headlight causing a sharp bend which snaps the cable. They'll send one out for you no charge and have now learned to route them right.

The front brake hose routing has also been an issue. They had one way of routing it initially and apparently learned pretty early that it wasn't working right and changed it. On mine it was rubbing on the left turn signal rubber, not a huge deal but it did start to damage the rubber so they re-routed it again. It doesn't look like a perfect fix but I haven't examined it closely to see if it'll be a problem or if there's a better way to route it.

Good to hear. looking at the pictures of the bike that was assembled at zongshen, I believe the brake line was actually supposed to run over the top of the cluster seen here

That looks like it's pulling on the harness for the left hand controls and possibly rubbing the top tree and/or fork cap. I'll try to get a pic of mine up later. Seems to be a better solution but still not perfect.
