Its not a CSC because they arent the importer for Mexico. Whomever the import company is gets to spec out the bikes for their market. Fuel injected wont be an option there. Its as is. Just like carb models arent available through CSC. Its not like a car where you spend more for a higher level package. The f.i. should be the only real difference. The rest is how their economy is...import taxes, etc. Its a steal for 2800 US dollars.

Don't forget that the importer in Mexico made a deal with Zongshen based on some currency standard...then the peso-to-dollar cratered. It could be that the exchange rate of $ to peso is a big component of the difference between what CSC charges and the price in Mexico. It's a complicated arrangement. CSC also had to eat the cost of US EPA compliance. The Mexican bikes probably cannot be brought over into the US.

I looked through all the specs on the Italika web site, it doesn't mention anywhere whether it is carburetted or fuel injected. It wouldn't surprise me if it was carburetted however, but I won't conjecture. Regardless, the Mexicans now have a new good bike in their market at a great price. Cheers, Dan K.
