Go try another computer, or just clear your cache. It's a common trick with web vendors to jack the price on your second visit, perhaps even more on your third. If you try a different device that you haven't yet used to view the site, you'll likely see US $1049.00. Airlines (like Allegiant) love that game.

I am on the fence again. If the Enforcer has a counter balanced engine I would order one. But from the pic it does not look to have one.

Here is a website where the pics are clear and bigger than APSC's site. It's not counter balanced, DOES NOT have braided brake hoses, and no led turn signals. Whereas the HAWK does. SO 6 in one hand half dozen in the other. Just looking at pics of both the Hawk looks to have better brakes. DB-41H-250 or BS250GY-18D

And the newer rubber mounted LED turn signals are a MUST. I can't tell you how many times I've walked by the Brozz and bent those turn signals, they just take it and snap right back.

Yes that's the Storm it does have the CB engine, along with the Brozz and Shark. But it seems Bashan didn't put that engine in the Enforcer.

Actually, the Enforcer does have the same engine. On the EPA certification list from 2016 (Bashan has not appeared on the 2017 as of yet), the bike is listed alongside other familiar Bashans:

BROZZ 250, BS200GY-46, BS250GY-18D, BS250GY-31, MOTARD 250, MOTOMAX 250, SHARK 250, STORM 250

The above are the models that fall under the same certification, and the actual model "BS250GY-18D" is right there. I am guessing they use inferior bits, and the lack of a rack is most obvious, along with no digital cluster. Hence the savings of a few hundred dollars. I don't think I could do without the rack, which would put this bike closer to the bottom of my shopping list, but yes, it does have the same engine according to the EPA.

I see the apsusa site no longer lists the engine as being counter balanced that's a real bummer as I was planning on taking the plunge once my tax return got back to me.

is Michigan a hawk friendly state. Without the counterbalanced engine, now seeing much difference between them.

Take the counterbalanced motor out of the equation because neither the Hawk or Enforcer have it. Are we sure the lines aren't braided? The RX3 supposedly has black, internally braided lines.

The way I see it, it's a toss-up between having the EPA approval and ease of registration....and LED turns and a gamble at DMV.
If either bike were legal here in CA, I know which one I'd jump on.

absolutely correct.

cliff's notes on these models for reference;

the Brozz is an 18c: digital dash, rack on the back, inverted forks, and drum rear brake, counterbalanced 229

the Shark is an 18b: digital dash, no rack, standard forks, and drum rear brake, counterbalanced 229

and now the Enforcer, the 18D: Analog dash, no rack, standard forks, and rear DISK brake. And, although the info declares that it's a counterbalanced engine, the pictures show a standard NON counterbalanced 229 at par with the Hawk.

The model difference is all in the front forks, engine preference and that rear rack, and if the separate "options" are worth the price differences IMHO

this bike seemed like a dream come true for me, but without the counterbalanced engine, my heart stays with the Brozz. The profit sharing from the company I work for will be arriving in the next two weeks, and I'm still looking for that particular bike to fill my needs. Trouble is, I STILL want more info before I pull the trigger.
