Pin hitch for Rhino 250

Anyone have a parts list, diagram or pics for the Rhino? Tried looking at 2LZ's thread but no pics to give me a starting point. I'm sure he has one, maybe you of you other CB riders has something I could go by?

Posting pics or hotlinks are more than welcome here, thanks!

Here is the bastard child of 2LZ's design..... It's a ball hitch... remove the ball and you have a pin hitch.

To do these hitches you DO NOT want to use the metal from the crate the ATV came from.. it's to soft for this. Go to home depot and get some angle iron. I think I used 1" angle iron. You will also need a longer bolt that goes through the bottom of the shock. Has to be at least a 1/4 inch longer to compensate for the two pieces of angle iron. Bring the stock bolt with you to size something up. Forget what size I used but if I remember right it wasn't Metric.. it was SAE... was the only size and length shoulder bolt I could find that was right for my needs...get a nut, washer, and lock washer too.

For the pinhole plate I used some thick aluminum.. steel is good too. They should have some sort of thick small sheets in the metal rack at HD.. if not they do have some in the lumber section. Forget what they are actually used for though. Use what you can find. A thick piece of flat bar stock works too.

Pick up two U bolts that will fit around the swing arms frame tube to lock this in place.

No measurements to give you.. pretty much size everything to eye and hit it with a marker to suit your needs.

It's a somewhat easy hitch to make if you have some basic tools. Really strong and cheap. Everything a China Rider likes

Nice write-up Darth!

On mine, see the two little corners that stick out from under the pin plate? I thought at the time, "I better grind those off. They look kinda sharp.". Then I thought, "EHH! What are the odds I'll actual get my hand down in that far..."
Guess what? Yep....lots of blood. I need to bust out the grinder.

Speaking of the metal from the shipping crate.. I think it may make me a fine license plate holder.. for the Rhino and the trailer it will go on.

I gotta figure out something to do with it. The "tossing it under the house" option is wearing thin since I've been getting under there a lot lately. I just hate cutting up and tossing metal that I can eventually use for something.....just not sure what since this stuff is garbage.

I want to use the hitch that you both made and I want to video the process. Would either of you mind if I stole that idea for a video? I will give you guys and the forum a shout out.

I don't know. 2LZ is pretty strict like the Chinese when it comes to patents

Go for it!....but if Darth and I find you living on an island next year, drinking drinks with umbrella's in them on a sandy beach, being fanned by beautiful topless women in grass skirts, because you're now the new owner of "Rhino Pin Hitches and More", we'll lace your underwear with fleas! ;-)

Great! Thanks....By the way...my idea of paradise is a shack in the Weaver Mountains digging for gold and only coming down when I need beans, bacon, whiskey, gasoline, and ammo! If selling these it would be the "Mr. and Mrs. 2LZ Darth Racer Goldstryker Rhino 250 Trailer Hitch Accessory Company Ltd."
