$400 Hawk good deal
I have been going to buy a hawk for some time now. Well yesterday I come across one on our local classifieds. It isn't registerable till 2020 per DMV in utah. It was never titled so it will just be a off road bike. I have the common mod parts on order.
The good: It was only $400. It only has 1800 miles It runs OK The bad and I need help finding these parts. 1. The plastic on the right side of the tank is broke 2. Handle bars aren't straight 3. Right hand break lever it broke on the outside where the knob should be. 4. Some switch thing that turns on the back break light is broke. See below image ![]() What you think, a good deal? |

Just take the plastic shrouds off of the tank.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/291644691249...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I think somebody here used that for the rear brake switch. The bars are 7/8" you just have to find some you like or bend the stock bars back.

Pro-Taper Bars are nice and tough, fairly inexpensive when you factor in the abuse they can take

I'm sure other MSO's looked different. Now I'm having flashbacks to the hot biker gal/clerk. ![]()

eBay. Keep your searches generic, like "dirt bike clutch lever" and then filter by lowest price. Compare the pics to what you have.
