Gas coming out the overflow tube

I have a Sunl SLA 265 that I mad a carb adjustment on. It seems that after I made a recent adjustment that there is a good amount of gas coming out of the carb. overflow tube. I originally adjusted the needle with the e-clip down to the closest notch of the needle end. I did this because the motor had a real hard time firing. I found a recommendation on another forum to adjust the needle this way. This really helped to start a cold engine. Now the engine simply does not idle without choking it until the engine is totally warm. I tried to adjust the mixture screw in hopes of obtaining a richer mixture. Unfortunaletly, I now have an overflow problem. Can anyone out there help me out? Once the engine is up to temp she runs awesome. I just believe it takes too long while I'm holding the choke in with my thumb. I'm thinking of going to a choke lever that I wouldn't have to keep a thumb on. By the way, I believe this unit is made by Kandi. I'm not sure what engine other than it is a 250cc water cooled. Thanks for any help I can get. One last thing, how do you download images??? Thanks :?: :?:

you adjusted your needle all the way down, why not one notch at a time?now you are probably trying to start a very rich bike.

take the filter or top off the air intake. if you start easier you are running rich.try to partially cover the air intake, if it gets better you are lean

and usually for better idle you adjust the fuel mixture screw on the carb, and the idle screw, takes alittle playing with. the needle usuallu affects 1/4 to3/4 throttle positions,(which i just adjusted on mine)

but you need to find out if you were or are running rich or lean, right now seems like your running rich, i only had to move my needle 1 notch,

It also could be your needle valve isn't seating right to stop the fuel from entering the carb. One way to tell is if it starts to leak lift the rear of the bike and drop it a couple of times.sometimes thats enough to set the needle valve and stop the overflow of gas into the carb.

kczukiman's got a good point, and also i thought i heard if you put the slide back in 180 degrees from how you took it out,i heard it will make your bike go W.O.T on start up. check those things ,make sure you put that slide back in just how you took it out.
