magician 150 mile update
this weekend I put on about 150 miles on the magician half of that off road and I have to say WOW. I have been riding for over 20 years on street and dirt and worked as a parts manager at a metric for about 19 years so I know a good amount about bikes, not to toot my horn or anything. Anyway I went out with two friends, one has a crf 250l and the other has a crf 250 rally and this little magician went everywhere those bike did without a problem or issue. the bike run great all day, of course I had to do the valve adjustment and carb jet but the bike never had a problem with any of it. I am so impressed, so far money well spent.

Nice. I like the look of those things. Did you rejet the stock carb?

yes, I went up to a 110 and turned the idle mixture screw all the way in and 1 1/2 turns out and put two small washers under the needle.

Have you check the bracket thats apparently rubbing the fuel tank causing issues? I dont have one, but would hate to see that show up deep into a trail somewhere.

it looks like this is a newer build and the bracket has been fitted properly. I hope

I really like the look of the Magician
My only 'complaint' about them is the small-ish fuel tank size. If they could fit a larger tank (or an aftermarket one is available) this will be near the top of my list!

For the size of the fuel tank it goes quite a ways anyhow. I usually fill mine up at about 120 miles. (Yes I understand there is probably discrepancy in the trip-meter)

From what I understand, taller members have mentioned they find the Magician as slightly cramped for them. My guess is this might be a good size for her, but that is based on videos of the bike with riders on it.

there is a aftermarket aux handlebar tank that adds .8 gal for about $80. I might get one if the fuel tank becomes an issue but I doubt it will.
