Interesting that it has a hydraulic clutch.

That's probably an older picture. The earlier FXr110 model bikes had semi-auto transmissions. The left lever was for the rear brake. The 2017 FXr125 switched to a bigger engine with a manual clutch. Sadly, no hydraulic clutch.
I really like the Piranha 150cc e-start, manual transmission. They also make a 140cc semi-auto that would be cool off-road. I don't think the Daytona Anima 190 4V would fit in this motorcycle. It's a lot bigger. SamM

I don't think the intent of the FXR was to produce a good street bike. It was to produce a dirt bike that is street legal so that you dont need to haul it to the trails to ride.
-I'd take an FXR over a Grom or Grom clone any day.

joeboyk,
That's great. My sister lives in Vienna, OH. I moved here when I was 12. I'm originally from Virginia but my parents are from Morgantown. The FXR looked pretty nice to me but I understand what Chinese motorcycles are about. I suppose that I might still be on the fence about another chinabike. SamM

I have seriously been considering giving up my hawk and goldwing to get one. I love riding my Hawk, but I love the power of my Goldie. I think a mid 40+hp, sub 300lb Enduro would satisfy both ends. I will say this, the FXR does interest me, and at one time I considered one to do some sort of bigger engine setup on - Pirahna or Anima. I love minimalist bikes like that. I personally think it would be a great on and off road bike with just a bit more power - like Hawk level, 14-15hp.
