I have pretty much everything that can support port work already, minus the cam. Honestly, even just a mild port cleanup with the basic PZ30/VM26 and any existing aftermarket exhaust will flow more than enough to support this kind of power. I really don't want to hog out the ports a ton, just clean up the flow path, which on its own should go a long way. I am aiming to not alter the power curve of the engine too much, so strong intake velocity is important to me.

Nothing wrong with a good clean up! Let us know how it goes and what areas of the ports seem to be the most in need....and pics please!

Not the greatest pictures, and I can't show the area around the valves to well until I decide to disassemble it more, but believe me... these ports leave a lot to be desired. The exhaust port is especially terrible. The reduction in cross section at the valve guides is pretty bad and can easily be cleaned up.

Just to toss in my own head porting experience. A better flowing head on a weaker cam profile will always make more, and better power, than a poor head with a radical cam as long as intake velocity is maintained.
Yeah, I looked at the pictures, and the exhaust side is not very impressive. Definitely needs work. The intake side isn't great, but, compared to the exhaust side, it looks better than it is...ARH
